Description

A hearty, family-friendly casserole made with seasoned ground beef, creamy sauce, melted cheese, and crispy tater tots on top.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • 1/2 cup milk or beef broth

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch dish.

  • Brown ground beef with onion; add garlic and season. Drain grease.

  • Stir in soup and milk; heat until creamy.

  • Mix in half the cheese.

  • Spread beef mixture into dish; top with remaining cheese.

  • Arrange frozen tater tots on top.

  • Bake uncovered 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  • Rest briefly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers refrigerated up to 4 days.

Freeze unbaked casserole for easy make-ahead meals.

Kids love helping arrange the tater tots.
