Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk or beef broth

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch dish.

Brown ground beef with onion; add garlic and season. Drain grease.

Stir in soup and milk; heat until creamy.

Mix in half the cheese.

Spread beef mixture into dish; top with remaining cheese.

Arrange frozen tater tots on top.

Bake uncovered 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Rest briefly before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers refrigerated up to 4 days.
