Ingredients

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb Italian sausage

1 small yellow onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

3 bell peppers, diced

1 can tomato sauce

1 can diced tomatoes

4 cups beef broth

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp paprika

Salt and pepper

3/4 cup uncooked white rice

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Optional shredded cheese
Instructions

Brown ground beef and sausage in large pot.

Add onion and cook until soft.

Stir in garlic and peppers; cook 5 minutes.

Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, broth, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce.

Bring to boil, stir in rice.

Reduce heat, cover, simmer 18–22 minutes.

Adjust seasoning and serve with cheese.
Notes
Store up to 4 days refrigerated.
Add broth when reheating.
For freezing, freeze without rice for best texture.
