Description

A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired ground beef bowl made with soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil served over fluffy rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 2 cups cooked white rice

  • 2 green onions

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds


Instructions

  • Cook rice.

  • Brown ground beef in skillet.

  • Add garlic and ginger; cook briefly.

  • Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, pepper flakes.

  • Pour sauce into skillet; simmer 2–3 minutes.

  • Serve over rice with toppings.

Notes

Store beef and rice separately up to 4 days.

Add splash of water when reheating.

Freeze beef only for best texture.
