Description

Ingredients

8 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 small onion, finely diced
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Pinch nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch pie dish.

  • Sauté onion in butter until soft.

  • Whisk eggs gently.

  • Stir in cream, milk, and seasonings.

  • Scatter ham, onion, and cheese in dish.

  • Pour egg mixture over fillings.

  • Bake 35–40 minutes until center slightly jiggles.

  • Rest 10 minutes before slicing.
